Mahindra Group, one of the largest and most admired multinational federation of companies, has joined the UKIBC as members, expressing its deep founded commitment to strengthening UK-India trade, investment and collaboration. Tech Mahindra, the Group’s information technology services and consulting company, Classic Legends and its iconic motorcycles and green mobility company BSA, the mobility design centre Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (M.A.D.E) and its Formula E division, Mahindra Racing join the UKIBC at a time in which bilateral relations are extremely positive, notably led by ongoing FTA negotiations.

Kevin McCole, UKIBC Managing Director, said: “We are delighted that Mahindra Group has joined the UKIBC as members. The Group has had a long, distinguished history in the UK-India corridor and we are looking forward to working with partners across the Group to create further opportunities for UK-India collaboration and support business success. The breadth of UK and Indian talent contributing to the Group’s growth is outstanding, from the brilliant engineers and creatives working at Mahindra’s excellent facilities in Oxfordshire and the West Midlands to the innovative manufacturing centres in Pune and Mumbai and in between. Mahindra is helping to advance sectors of real strength to the UK and India, like the future of mobility and electric vehicles, including the Group’s exciting Formula E team headquartered in Banbury, as well as the digital sector, so it is a really exciting time to be working together.”

Jinender Jain, Sr VP & Sales Head, UK/I at Tech Mahindra, said: “We are pleased to confirm our membership with the UKIBC. Mahindra Group has always been passionate about strengthening UK-India trade relations, as well as identifying exciting new ways to help drive the mutual growth of both regional economies. We believe this partnership represents an excellent opportunity for us to continue building our strong relationships with influential UK industry leaders, and play our part in supporting long-term business success for those operating or trading within the UK-India corridor. We are also looking forward to working with the UKIBC to develop strong innovation ecosystems that can grow talent and investments on key technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, ensuring that India’s historically close relationship with the UK remains mutually beneficial long into the future as these technologies become more embedded in the everyday world of business.”

Ashish Joshi, CEO – Classic Legends and Director – BSA Company, said: “It is a great privilege and honour for BSA Company, as a part of Mahindra Group, to join the UKIBC. The last few years have witnessed us ramp up our operations in the UK with the setting up of our technology centre and strengthening our position in the green mobility space to unveiling the all-new BSA Gold Star motorcycle and setting up a full-fledged sales and service network for the same across the country. We thank UKIBC for their cooperation at every step and hope this formal membership is the start of another exciting chapter for us.”

Pratap Bose, Executive Vice President and Chief Design Officer leading the Group’s M.A.D.E design centre, said: “Mahindra Advanced Design Europe, is thrilled and delighted to formally join the UKIBC, along with the other Mahindra Group companies operating in the UK. As a part of our ‘Race to Road’ philosophy, Mahindra Advanced Design Europe is at the front and centre of the creation of our exciting new Pure Electric range of SUVs which will see Mahindra Auto emerge as a truly global level player in the E-SUV market. We look forward to an exciting partnership with UKIBC to grow and strengthen our presence here in the UK and look forward to exploring the multiple opportunities that this association brings.”

Frederic Bertrand, CEO, Mahindra Racing said: “As one of the founding teams in Formula E and the only Indian team in the championship, we are extremely proud to now be part of the UKIBC. As a race team, our Indian fans are key to our success, and we couldn’t go racing without their support, as we saw at our home race in Hyderabad earlier this year. To be able to spread the word of the wonderful work the racing team, and the wider Mahindra Group does worldwide is a great step forward for the business. Thank you to the UKIBC for working on this partnership with us.”
